Correcting a creator's product claim after an AI launch on X
A worked correction note for an AI launch on X: confirm the product fact, agree the creator's update and fix the brief before more campaign posts go live.
Confirm the fact, then coordinate the correction
If a creator's live X post describes your AI product incorrectly, confirm the exact error with your product approver, agree accurate replacement wording and coordinate the update with the account owner. Pause scheduled campaign content that repeats the same claim while it is checked. Then update the shared brief so the mistake does not carry into the next posts.
This worked example concerns a hypothetical AI project-update assistant. A creator's post says it sends updates automatically, but the fictional product only prepares a draft for a person to review and share. The correction note below is original illustrative campaign material, not a client incident, testimonial or account of real results.
Turn the problem into a precise correction request
Send the product approver the live URL and the specific sentence. Ask which behaviour is supported in the version people can currently access. Here, the important distinction is drafting versus sending. A vague instruction to make the post less enthusiastic would leave the creator guessing and could produce another inaccurate description.
For this fictional product, proposed correction copy is: Correction: this tool drafts project updates from the notes you supply. A person reviews and shares the draft; it does not send updates automatically. The product owner must confirm every part before similar wording is used. Keep the available access route unchanged unless that detail is also wrong.
A completed addendum to the launch creator brief
Use one correction note shared with the affected creator and the people preparing remaining campaign content. Link it to the original brief rather than circulating several competing versions. Include the live post URL and actual approval details in the working document; the illustration deliberately supplies no invented account, timestamp or approval.

Claim to replace
Sends project updates automatically.
Confirmed replacement
Drafts an update from supplied notes; a person reviews and shares it.
Affected material
Check the live caption, its demo and remaining drafts for the sending claim.
Account action
Ask the creator whether this post can be edited; agree the alternative if it cannot.
Resume condition
Confirm the live correction and give remaining creators the approved fact.
Choose the route the actual X post supports
Ask the creator to check editing availability promptly. X's current Edit post help describes a one-hour window and up to five edits for eligible original posts and quote posts with a qualifying subscription. It excludes several formats, including replies, threads and promoted posts. Account eligibility, post type and the publishing method matter; the campaign plan should not assume an edit will be available.
If editing is available, agree the corrected text and check the updated live post. X says earlier versions remain accessible through edit history. If editing is unavailable, agree whether a clear follow-up correction or removal and replacement best addresses the inaccurate claim. A reply leaves the original wording in place, so it may not adequately resolve a materially misleading main post. The client and creator should agree that decision explicitly.
Keep the record useful if a post is removed
X's deletion help says account owners can delete their own posts; your company cannot delete a creator's post from another account. Coordinate the request through the agreed creator contact. Before removal, retain the campaign URL, approved correction and any available aggregate reporting needed for the launch review. Keep a replacement URL associated with the original record.
Deletion does not remove copied text, quote posts with commentary or material held elsewhere. Do not report it as erasing every exposure. X also says deleted post content and analytics stop being publicly available. Keep original and replacement post observations distinct, and do not add them together as unique people reached or treat views as visits or enquiries.
Fix the shared fact before the next creator posts
Check whether the error came from the supplied fact, the creator's interpretation or a change made after approval. In the fictional example, replace any automatic-sending language in the brief and make the human review step explicit in the demo instructions. Other creators can keep their own angles while using the same confirmed product behaviour.
Check the corrected content's link and any applicable partnership disclosure as part of the release review. X's Paid Partnerships policy requires its disclosure setting on organic posts that form part of a paid partnership. A replacement post needs the same attention as the original. This is a campaign coordination step, not a reason to rewrite unrelated approved content.
How we handle this within an AI launch campaign
Your team supplies current product facts, access, goals and approvals. We prepare the agreed campaign strategy, launch posts and demos, creator instructions, timing and follow-up. When correction coordination is included, we gather the issue, prepare the note, manage feedback and confirm the affected campaign material has been reviewed.
Agree who can approve a product correction and how to reach the creator before launch. Share your product and intended X campaign through the enquiry form below. We can include an approval and follow-up process in the proposed scope, with responsibilities and any additional work agreed before starting.
How we help
We help AI companies launch their products on X. We handle campaign strategy, launch posts, demos, creator coordination and content after launch. You bring the product, access for a demonstration and approval of the campaign.

Frequently asked questions
Can every creator launch post on X be edited?
No. X limits editing by subscription, post type, timing and publishing method. Ask the creator to check the actual post; agree a correction or replacement route when editing is unavailable.
Who confirms that an AI product claim is wrong?
Your product approver checks the behaviour in the version users can access. We turn that confirmed fact into clear correction wording and coordinate review with the creator within the agreed campaign scope.
Can you delete an inaccurate post from a creator's account?
The creator controls their account. We can coordinate an agreed removal or correction request, but your company cannot delete someone else's post through its own account.
Does deleting the launch post remove all copies?
No. X says copied text, quote posts with commentary and material on other services can remain. Record the correction and replacement URL without claiming every earlier exposure has disappeared.
Is correction coordination included in every AI launch campaign?
The proposal should state the approval process, follow-up responsibilities and included revisions. We agree the work with you; the client confirms product facts and the creator carries out changes on their account.
